At work, it’s easy to get caught up in deadlines, meetings and day-to-day responsibilities - which is why initiatives like Mental Health Awareness Week are so important. Taking time to focus on wellbeing, connection and fun can have a real positive impact on morale, teamwork and overall mental health.
To mark the occasion, we hosted a full week of activities designed to help everyone take a break, recharge and have some fun along the way.
A Week of Wellbeing Activities
The week began with massage sessions provided by Advanced Massage Therapist, Cheryl Chapman, allowing staff to unwind and take a well-earned break during the working day.
Tuesday’s break time quiz brought out everyone’s competitive side, while Wednesday’s DIY bouquet station gave people the chance to get creative and enjoy a more mindful activity.
Break time bingo on Thursday created plenty of laughs across the office, before the week wrapped up with the final of the staff darts tournament on Friday.
Across the week, prizes were awarded not only for the darts tournament, but also for the break-time bingo and quiz, helping to keep engagement high and add an extra bit of friendly competition to each activity.

Darts Tournament Highlights
Running across the entire week, the staff darts tournament became a real talking point around the office, with matches taking place during breaks and plenty of friendly competition throughout.
To add to the atmosphere, Friday’s final was styled in the spirit of a traditional British pub darts night, with sweets, snacks and alcohol-free drinks - helping to create a relaxed, social environment while keeping the focus on fun and inclusion.
After a week of head-to-head dart games, it ultimately came down to the two leading finalists of the week - Ryan and Wayne. In a tense and closely contested match, Wayne swooped in to take the victory!

Additional Wellbeing Support Across the Week
Alongside the activities, we also shared daily mental health tips and resources throughout the week, provided by the Mental Health Foundation and MHFA England. These were designed to encourage reflection, awareness and practical ways to support wellbeing both at work and at home.
In addition, Team Leaders were asked to complete an online refresher course on Managing Mental Health Issues at Work, helping to further strengthen understanding and support around mental health in the workplace.

Why Weeks Like This Matter
Mental Health Awareness Week is an important reminder of the value of taking time to focus on wellbeing, both individually and as a team.
Creating opportunities for colleagues to connect, take breaks and enjoy shared activities can have a positive impact on morale, workplace culture and overall well-being. Even small moments away from day-to-day pressures can make a real difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the week such a success!
