Covert Video Mystery Shopper:
A visual mystery shopper will be required to complete evaluations in a variety of outlets (e.g. high street stores, car showrooms, banks and building societies etc.) They will be expected to enter our clients' outlets as a customer and record the entire process using covert video cameras (which can be supplied by Performance in People) and complete a report of the evaluation. An element of travel is an integral part of conducting this type of work (typically a 150 mile + radius is covered) therefore it is essential that you have a modern, reliable vehicle for which an additional mileage allowance will be paid. This work is specialized; our mystery shoppers conduct multiple assignments in one or more towns/cities during a full working day. The size of the area an individual shopper is willing to cover determines the amount of work we can offer them. Full training is provided for the specialized work and is conducted at our Head Office or regional locations throughout the UK. Your performance during training is monitored and our covert mystery shoppers have to successfully complete the training before any work is conducted.
Report-Only Mystery Shoppers:
A report-only mystery shopper will usually conduct mystery assignments in high street stores, car showrooms etc. in the area in which they live and/or work. A questionnaire is completed after the evaluation, on the same day, and is either filed electronically by logging in to our website, or by completing a written questionnaire, which is then sent to our Head Office. Payment is made for each successfully completed evaluation.
Telephone Mystery Shoppers:
Telephone mystery shoppers conduct evaluations over the phone. As well as mystery shopping these calls may also include research or customer satisfaction surveys. All work is conducted by either telephone or E-Mail and a good knowledge of Microsoft excel and word is essential. The calls are recorded via our bespoke internal recording system and the timing of these calls can be flexible within the working day. Regional accents are very important as we conduct calls to a broad range of clients across the UK, including car showrooms, banks, newspapers and call centres amongst others.
Postal Monitoring:
Postal monitoring work involves the use of a mystery shopper's home address for receiving brochures and other promotional material through the post, on the instruction of one of our clients. The mystery shopper - or "mailing addressee" - returns this material to Performance in People, at our expense, and the content and speed of delivery is measured. Mailing addressees will be informed when their address has been used for this purpose and what name has been used for the correspondence. They will receive payment for each mailing.
Home Addressee:
Performance in People carries out a number of evaluations where we are instructed to film the performance of company representatives at customers' homes. These include insurance representatives and financial advisors who would give advice to potential customers in their area. We are looking to recruit homeowners who will allow us to use their homes for these purposes. This will involve one of our professional visual mystery shoppers conducting the evaluation at a time and date convenient to both parties. Appointments can be arranged in the evening, as well as during the day and at the weekends. Our mystery shopper would arrive prior to the appointment to set the scene, and the evaluation would last approximately two hours. On the application page we ask for property details in order for us to match properties and areas with types of mystery shops. It is important when applying for this position that you provide us with some details about your property.
Email Mystery Shopper:
This would require you to monitor information sent to your email address. Email mystery shoppers typically send enquiries to our clients' websites and monitor the type and speed of response from the recipient. The findings are then passed on to Performance in People by the mystery shopper, either by email or in the form of an online report. Payment is made for each enquiry conducted.
